White Ink
Please Note: White ink is only available on certain materials. If your chosen material doesn't support white ink, the following information does not apply.
White ink underneath colours to increase opacity
When ordering a clear label on our website you will be presented with an option for "White ink" on the Extras page. We recommend leaving White Ink "ON" so the colours in your design appear solid (as shown on the left side of the image below).
The
left side of the image shows the balloon printed with white ink
underneath the colour.
The right side of the image shows the balloon
printed without white ink underneath the colour.
If you're unsure, leave White Ink "ON", as most customers prefer solid colours.
White ink in logos and images
If you upload a JPG file or a PNG file without transparency then the white in your image will become clear.
If you upload a clear PNG with white pixels, or a PDF / EPS containing white and clear parts, then the white areas will stay white and the clear areas will stay clear.
White ink for text, borders and backgrounds
Some materials also support white ink text, white ink borders and white ink backgrounds. These can be added when you're designing your label by choosing the "WHITE INK" button above the normal colour choices.
